REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2019-20 PLAYING SEASON will open on 1 August, 2019.
CHANGE TO PLAYING FORMAT FOR THE 2019-20 SEASON.
This season, junior and youth players will be playing in age determined grades (as at 1st April) instead of by the previous School Year grades. This refers to players (both boys & girls) in Year 5 and above).
The 2019-20 playing season is as follows:
Start day: Saturday 2nd November. Last playing day before Christmas: Saturday 14th December. Restart post-Christmas: Saturday 1st February, 2020. Final playing day for season: Saturday 21st March, 2020.

1) Boys in the U10, U11 & U12 grades play in the Saturday morning T20 Smash competitions, starting at 9.30 am.
2) Boys in the U13 grade play in either the Saturday morning T20 Smash competition (start time 9.30 am), or the Saturday afternoon T20 Smash competition. (start time 12.30 pm).
3) However some U12 & U13 players will be selected for the restricted LO 30 matches which are played on Saturday afternoons, commencing at 12.30 pm.
4) In addition, U12 & U13 players have the option to play in midweek T20 Smash competitions, on Tuesday & Thursday evenings respectively.These will start at 5.00 pm.
1) Boys in the U4, U16 & U19 grades play in the Saturday afternoon T20 Smash competitions starting at 12.30 pm
2) In addition Youth Cricket players have the option to play in the midweek T20 Smash competitions, starting at 5.00 pm on Wednesday & Thursdays.
Club of Origin:
This is a six week competition for U13, U15 & U17 players only, and will be spread over the whole season. Details to be advised.

The Year 2019-20 season draws will be available on the Cricket Express Junior Leagues' Homepage on the Auckland Cricket Website under Fixtures & Results.
Auckland Cricket are responsible for cancellations for all grades from U10 and above, including all Girls grades. Any cancellations or ground changes will be posted under Cancellations on the Cricket Express Junior Leagues' Homepage on the Auckland Cricket Website by 7am of the day in question.
All scoring should be done using Auckland Cricket's live scoring and management system, CricHQ
The results of all games must be entered in CricHQ by 5pm on the Monday after the weekend of play.

Pre-season trials for Junior grades will be taken by the Club’s professional coaches. Dates and times TBA.
TEAM PRACTICE TIMES:
Weekly team coaching times will be set by each team's coach at the start of the season. In addition, all teams will have regular sessions with Parnell's professional coaches at the Shore Road nets-actual days TBA.
The various competitions are played at venues throughout the Greater Auckland area which may include North Harbour. Detailed maps are located on the Auckland Cricket website, or go to Ground Maps in the main menu.
Players should wear the Parnell Cricket Club polo shirt and white long pants which are available from Players Sports, 14 Melrose Street, Newmarket. Ph 522 8170.
This season Junior players will wear a coloured shirt-to reflect the T20 & LO formats on offer. Suitable footwear should be worn. A sunhat is essential and PCC caps and hats are also available at Players Sports. All batsmen must wear a cricket helmet when batting.

PCC JUNIOR PARENTS' COACHING MANUAL
This comprehensive coaching manual has been prepared by a number of Parnell junior parents who have had considerable experience in coaching junior cricket teams.
It provides a very informative summary of methods and techniques that should be used in coaching cricket to children of all ages. It should be used as a regular reference tool for all of our junior volunteer coaches.
