Welcome to the home of Parnell Cricket Club. PCC has been affiliated since 1883 and over the years has produced many fine players. Since 1996 the Club has been based at the Shore Rd Reserve in Remuera and neighbouring Bloodworth Park. Facilities include clubrooms, changing rooms and outdoor nets at Shore Rd plus a pavilion and outdoor nets at Bloodworth Park. The club is currently seeking council approval to extend the Shore Rd facilities to include 3 indoor nets.
Parnell Cricket Club caters for players of all ages - from 4 years old to 65 . The Club is divided in to two sections - JUNIOR & SENIOR.
The JUNIOR section plays in levels from Grade 1 to Grade 8. Each grade relates to a member's School Year as at the start of a season (Oct) although before School Year 3 players can choose to play up or down a grade if it suits them for social or physical reasons. As players move on to Secondary School they move in to age-based grades i.e. Under 14, Under 15 and Under 17 (representative play). Girls are catered for at all ages. They play in mixed teams from Grades 1 to 3. At Grade 4 girls can choose to move to a Girls Only team (under 12) or stay in a mixed Grade 4 team.
In the SENIOR section, as well as the Premier teams, there are a number of other 1-day grades and social teams - including PRESIDENTS for our more mature players. There is also a Sunday afternoon T/20 competition which is popular with those players who cannot commit to a full day's play. We have a successful WOMENS PREMIER team as part of an association with other clubs. We also run a Business House T/20 twilight competition held at Bloodworth Park on Monday evenings.
