General
The Club's Premier and Premier Reserve teams compete in Auckland Cricket's one and two day competitions that commence in early October and go through to the end of March. The players from these teams are the club's elite and many of them progress to higher honours, representing Auckland, the Aces and New Zealand.
The Thirds are a serious and competitive grade, playing one and two day matches as well. Many of the players in this grade progress to the higher grades as their standard improves or as required to cover for absent players.
Coaching
Ian Trott has been re-appointed as the club's resident coach for his third season. Former winner of Auckland Cricket's 'Coach of the Year' award, Ian brings a wealth of experience and loads of enthausium to this demanding role.
Pre Season Training
Pre-season indoor nets training for the 2009-10 season will commence at the Grafton Cricket Club, Victoria Park on Monday 3rd August from 6 to 8pm. These Monday evening sessions will also be held on the 10th and 17th August.
Sessions will also be held on Sunday afternoons starting on August 9th at 4pm. These sessions will run for approximately 6 weeks. Other pre-season training sessions will be announced shortly.

Normal training will be held at Shore Road nets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm, or at other times as requested by the coach. Starting dates will be advised shortly.

If the weather is at all doubtful you will receive either a confirmation or cancellation text message from us. This system can also be used by team coaches and grade coordinators to advise mid-week practice cancellations. For each text message you receive .50c will be charged to your mobile phone account. Please note that we will only send messages out if play/practice is VERY doubtful or cancelled.
Once you know what team you are in, all you need to do is go straight to http://www.sportcheck.co.nz and follow the simple links through to your grade and team and then enter your mobile number in the space provided.
