Whether you’re new to cricket or have a few season’s under your belt, Parnell’s Girls programme is all about making sure girls have a great team experience and have all the support to be their best.
With a team of dedicated Women & Girls Pro-coaches, our Youth coaches, Player Ambassadors and game day Team coaches, the girls are in great hands.
Team Allocations
The Club Policy is that all players should play in their correct grade. All our teams are selected to provide a mix of abilities and schools as much as possible. Our grade coordinators do their utmost to accommodate team friend requests.
Skill development & Team Trainings
Year 0/1-2 girls: Skills training is a big component of Friday night cricket. They do not have any additional mid-week practices.
Our U9-U13 Girls Only: Team trainings are held on Tuesday afternoons in the Terry Jarvis Indoor Centre pre-Christmas and at Martyn Wilson Field post-Christmas.
Our Pro-Coaches lead the junior girls’ trainings alongside our Youth Girls Coaches and Team Coaches. Girls attending our trainings have the benefit of our pro-coaches supporting their individual skill development, balanced with a fun team training environment run by girls for girls. Where possible our volunteer parent coaches also attend these training sessions working closely with our pro-coaching teams.
